Farewell, Stripy Jumpers...
Once upon a time we watched Time Team a lot, and an undoubted star of the show - along with the Lord High Robinson and Phil Harding - was Mick Aston, Professor of the parish, with his tatty, colourful stripy jumpers.
So farewell, we'll miss you.

Redesign Redux
For those who didn't get a chance to comment last week on the proposed regeneration of Nunhead Green, there is still the chance to air your views. The archtitects say:-
We want to make sure that you are all aware that the display boards and feedback form are available online if you were not able to attend and would still like to contribute:
http://www.lovenunhead.co.uk/regeneration/nunhead-green-and-public-realm/
(Click on the links in the first paragraph that say 'Concept Designs' and "Feedback Form".)
While general comments are always useful as we develop the designs, if you would like to respond to the specific questions asked at this consultation, please do try to have your responses back with me by the end of this Sunday 23rd June, so that I can incorporate them in the report. The feedback form is not interactive, but there are not many questions and it is fine just to pop the answers in an email to me. They don't have to be in the form format.

Nunhead Redesign Today
Apparently the design proposals for Nunhead Green will be shared today. Go along and see what is what.
Here are the details from an email we were sent.
Saturday 15 June 2013, 11am to 3pm
Drop in to the pop-up shop - Nunhead Corner, 26 Nunhead Green - any time to talk with architects and council staff. Weather permitting, we will also have a presence on The Green, to that we can discuss our ideas in the space itself!
Tuesday 18 June 2013, 10am to 8pm
Although the main event with AOC is on the Saturday, we want as many people as possible to be able to contribute. The display and feedback forms will therefore also be available on this extra day.Information presented will also be available on the Nunhead Village website:
www.lovenunhead.co.uk
If you can’t attend either day, but want to contribute views or ideas, please contact Daisy Froud
at daisy.froud@theAOC.co.uk or on 020 7739 9950.

Farewell IB
He will be much missed. As we said when his cancer was announced.
See the beautiful piece on Iain Banks' SF in today's Guardian.
And also remember (as Ken says) his politics.
