Zoo 4 - Improvements

The Zoo day did impress me enormously.  It was easy to get tickets online, and there was little or no queuing to get in, despite the fact that it was very busy.  But those are merely operational niceties, really.

What I really liked was the new way they have decided to focus on different geographical areas, as well as showcasing the star animals of course.  So the  river terraces in he north are Africa-themed, and there is an Indian theme surrounding the tigers.

They have also, finally, begun to make some kind of sense of the Clore elephant house (the elephants and rhinos are thankfully long gone - to Whipsnade, I think.

The penguin pool was, however, unused....
... and they still haven't found a use for the Mappin terraces.

Yetthere were other pleasures as well.   I do enjoy a good aviary...
