HotMail

Every now and then

I send an email

and Hotmail decides

to send it to me too.

It goes out to whoever

I’ve sent it to

but then I get it .

It’s as if there’s someone

deciding that I should write myself

an email.

Fats Waller sang:

and write myself a letter…’

but that was ‘him’ deciding to do that.

He was going to ‘make believe

it came from you…’

But I’m not choosing to do this.

I’m not make-believing it’s coming from you.

I know that my email has come from me.

Except it’s not really ‘from me’.

It’s ‘from Hotmail’.

Hotmail will make it come from me…’

I don’t think it’ll be a hit.
