So what do you do, when you spot in the Observer that Grace Dent has written a favourable review of a modern Indian restaurant, that has just opened a short walk away from your house?

Yes, you do, don't you?

So we did.

Kokum on the East Dulwich Rd.

Particularly impressed by the Dahi Puri starters (delicate and tasty, with tamarind and yogourt sauces), the Truffle Pecorino Kulcha bread, and the black lentil Dall Makhani.

We ordered less than usual, but getting home still involved rolling.
